Wed 23 Jul 2014 11:00:00 GMT CRISIS IN UKRAINE A chessboard drenched in blood
The MH17 tragedy may have been a horrendous mistake, but it may also have been a desperate gambit by the Kiev minions of the Empire of Chaos. Washington has been quick off the blocks to ignite and in theory win the spin war to persuade the world that Russia's hand was wittingly or otherwise behind the downing of the civilian aircraft. Moscow, more rationally, is seeking the facts first, before pointing fingers of blame. - Pepe Escobar (Jul 23, '14)

Mon, 28 Jul 2014 06:00:12 +0000 Timelines and Historical Creationism
In history, as in fiction writing, where you decide to start your narrative plays a major role in shaping your story. The story of the causes of a particular historical event can be shaped by the historians and writers who have access to the media and publishers depending on where they decide to start their […]
Mon, 28 Jul 2014 06:00:12 +0000 End Torture, Shut Down the CIA!
Remember back in April, 2007, when then-CIA director George Tenet appeared on 60 Minutes, angrily telling the program host, “we don’t torture people”? Remember a few months later, in October, President George W. Bush saying, “this government does not torture people”? We knew then it was not true because we had already seen the photos […]

At least 374 people were killed today, mostly militants. Another 78 were wounded. The numbers may be considering higher, considering that few reports of security personnel deaths are reported by the government. Also, it appears that yesterday's kidnapping of the Baghdad's council's chairman was perpetrated by militiamen. It is unknown whose orders they were following.

 Sat, 26 Jul 2014 06:00:38 +0000 MH17: Cold War Replay?
The most bizarre conspiracy theory surrounding the recent downing of a Malaysian airliner over Ukraine comes from a leading pro-Russian separatist, Igor Girkin. Relying on secondhand information, Girkin asserted that many of the passengers from the crash had already been dead before the plane had even taken off. His underlings had reported to him that […]
 Sat, 26 Jul 2014 06:00:37 +0000 A Clash of Civilizations
When the Soviet Union imploded in 1991, the United States – and its junior partners in Europe – found itself bereft of an enemy. One scholar, Francis Fukuyama, concluded by 1992 that this represented the "end of history" and the beginning of an age in which "western" values such as capitalism and "liberal democracy" were […]

 Fri, 25 Jul 2014 06:00:55 +0000 Israel’s US-Made Military Might Overwhelms Palestinians
The overwhelming Israeli firepower unleashed on the Palestinian militant group Hamas in the ongoing battle in Gaza is perhaps reminiscent of the Algerian war of independence (1954-1962) when France, the colonial power, used its vastly superior military strength to strike back at the insurgents with brutal ferocity. While France was accused of using its air […]
Fri, 25 Jul 2014 06:00:33 +0000 Is Putin Worse Than Stalin?
In 1933, the Holodomor was playing out in Ukraine. After the “kulaks,” the independent farmers, had been liquidated in the forced collectivization of Soviet agriculture, a genocidal famine was imposed on Ukraine through seizure of her food production. Estimates of the dead range from two to nine million souls. Walter Duranty of the New York […]

Mon, 21 Jul 2014 23:31:00 +0400 What Did US Spy Satellites See in Ukraine?
The U.S. medias Ukraine bias has been obvious, siding with the Kiev regime and bashing ethnic Russian rebels and Russias President Putin. But now with the scramble to blame Putin for the Malaysia Airlines shoot-down the shoddy journalism has grown truly dangerous, says Robert Parry.
